  • Why should I purchase a meal plan?
    Meal plans are convenient and save you money. You already know you're going to eat on campus- why not enjoy the convenience of a freshly cooked meal at the Dining Commons. Any CSUEB community member can purchase a meal plan. Whether you're a college student, staff, faculty, or vendor- this is where YOU study or work, and we're here to serve you.

  • Can I use my meal plan to purchase food at Subway, Starbucks, or any other campus location?
    Some meal plans come with Flex Dollars which can be used when visiting any national brand chain on campus. When making your purchase, just provide the cashier with your Bay Card and let them know that you would like to pay with Flex Dollars. Meals can be used at the Dining Commons.

  • When does my meal plan expire?
    Meal Plans are valid for the entire academic year of the year purchased and expire on the last operational day of the academic year in May. Please carefully assess how many meals you will need when making your purchase as those not used by the last day will expire and will not be subject to refund. Flex that is purchased separately will continually roll over until used. Flex associated with a meal plan will expire on the last day of the academic year.
Don’t worry - simplicity and convenience are all within reach. Once you have a meal plan, your student ID works like a debit card. Just swipe your card and the meals and points are deducted from your meal plan account.

Residential Meal Plans
A residential meal plan is required for on-campus students.  These plans are purchased through the University.
Commuter Meal Plans
Easy Pay Plans
Pioneer Dining Easy Pay is available as a secondary option to paying in full when selecting a meal plan and is only available for the listed meal plans (80 Block, 50 Block + $150 Flex, and 25 Block + $125 Flex). Payments are received in 3 easy installments.

Deposit is due at time of meal plan sign up. Payment due dates will be automatically charged on the first of the month, following initial deposit for two consecutive months (i.e.: a deposit made on February 24th will lead to the first payment charged on March 1st and the second payment charged on April 1st).
